Our Commitment

Reading Wellness Clinic is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all individuals, particularly children, young people, and adults at risk of harm. We recognise our duty of care and ensure that all our clinicians, staff, and volunteers operate in a safe and professional manner.

What We Do

  • All staff undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks before employment.
  • Our clinicians are registered with their professional regulatory bodies (HCPC, CSP).
  • Staff receive regular safeguarding training appropriate to their role.
  • We maintain a designated Safeguarding Lead responsible for overseeing all safeguarding matters.
  • Any safeguarding concern is taken seriously, documented, and acted upon promptly.

Reporting a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about yourself, another patient, or a member of staff, please contact our Safeguarding Lead immediately. You can do this by calling the clinic or speaking to any member of staff in confidence. All reports are handled sensitively and in accordance with current safeguarding legislation and guidance.

Chaperone Policy

Patients are entitled to have a chaperone present during any consultation or treatment. If you would like a chaperone, please let us know when booking your appointment or at any point during your visit. We will always respect this request.
